The U.S Indoor rules are the guidelines for our facility. We do not follow ALL the rules in the book, however it is a great starting point for new players. SEE HOUSE RULES FOR MORE DETAIL on rules specific to our facility.

Team and Player

• All players must be at least High School Level to play in the adult division (18+ for A leagues). Exceptions can be made by Cascade Indoor Sports.

• Cascade Indoor Sports Player Cards are required for all players to be able to participate in adult programs.

• Players may only Play or Sub for 1 team in each league (Mens, Womens, Mens over 30, Coed B, Coed A)  Substituting for another team in the same league will result in a forfeit for the team.

• All players must play at least 1 game and be rostered throughout the regular season to be able to compete in playoffs.

• Teams are required to provide themselves with a dark top and a white top or custom color top. If there is uniform conflict. Home team must change to alternate jerseys.

• Team fee must be fully paid prior to start of 2nd scheduled game. NO EXCEPTIONS.

• Team Captain is responsible for paying any amounts due after the 2nd week.

• Team Captain is responsible for turning in player cards to referee before the game.

Only rostered players are allowed in the player box.

Game Time

• A regulation game consists of two 22-minute halves.

• Playoff games consist on one 22-minute game

• Running Clock: Except in the case of injury, or a Card is shown by the referee to a player. Determined by the referee.

• Regular league games that end in a tie will result in a tie. No shootout.

• Tournament games that end in a tie will have a shootout.

• Unlimited substitutions are allowed. Substitutions may occur during play as long as the player exchange happens
within the substitution area (white lined half circle in front of player boxes). Substituting the goalkeeper is only allowed after a scored goal or dead ball and players must inform the referee.

• There is no off-sides in indoor soccer.

• Out of bounds occurs when ball makes contact with any part of the net above the wall. Opposing team will take possession of the ball at the point of contact with the net (Ball will be played as a “Kick-In” from on or inside the white line to resume play. Ball must not be rolling).

• A 3-line violation: Occurs when the ball crosses over both red lines in the air without touching the wall, player or the ground. This will result in a free kick for opposing team from the red line closest to the original kick. 

• Ceiling violation: Occurs when the ball is kicked or deflected into the ceiling. This will result in a free kick for opposing team from the red line closest to the original kick.

Jumping over the wall to substitute is not allowed and will result in a yellow card and 5 min penalty.

If a team has a six-goal lead the opposing team may add one extra player.

Forfeits

•All games are scheduled to start on time. If a team doesn’t meet the required number of players to play 5 minutes after the scheduled time, they will forfeit the game.

• Any team forfeiting more than once in a season may be dropped from the league without refund. 

• Out of common courtesy, a team who knows they are going to forfeit is urged to contact Cascade Indoor Sports, so that their opponent can be notified. 

Equipment

• Shin Guards & Socks: Are REQUIRED for all players. Socks must be worn over shin guards.

• All players must wear their team color. Goalkeepers must wear a different color.

 • Jewelry: A player may not wear jewelry (watches, bracelets, etc.) that is dangerous to themselves or other players. This may be at the discretion of the referee.

Tennis/Flat sole, Turf and indoor soccer shoes are allowed. Cleats of any kind are not allowed.

Important Information

Spitting and Chewing Gum will result in a two-minute penalty. Persistent infringement will result in a ban from the facility.

Fighting of any nature will result in a red card and may result in a complete ban from the facility. Furthermore the offending players may also suffer similar sanctions.

Any physical assault on the referee will result in criminal prosecution.
